wahooz

I do a ton of surf fishing and wanted to build something like that with a fold out cutting board and a tackle holder in the back, hell maybe even a rod holder or too, and a spare battery with a radio or a mini tv sooo I can watch virginia lose to vtech. hahah
ANyway, is it water proof? is that herculiner you put on it? Does the water drain into the cab?

thanks
it looks really clean!!

If anyone wants me to do a write up on how to do it I will when I repair mine.

I have a 97 TJ and was wondering if u could do a write up for me.

Today I took on two problems. The first was to take care of where the tie rod was hitting the swaybar link bracket.

To do this I cut a small 1/4" flat bar and drilled two holes to raise the swaybar link up about 2".

I then ground down the stock swaybar bracket to clear the tie rod.

My other problem was that the swaybar links that came with my lift were about 2" two short. So while raising the links to clear the tie rod it also solved my problem of the short links.

I like the footpeg idea. Is there any issue as far as safety? In Ma. nothing can extend beyond the outside of the flares. Are they fixed or can they fold in?

you'll be fine, i have never been bothered in the north shore. my wheels stick out 2 inches on each side, i have no mirrors, and no rear bumper, and no police have bothered me. but they will give you trouble if they catch you doing something else, like speeding, then they'll throw the book at you

Mine do not stick outside my flares, and they will fold in towards the body.

Mine are just barely outside the flare. Don't think the police around here would even notice, just don't give them a reason to pull you over.

i just realised why i have never seen anyone hanging their foot out.

For me to hang my foot out - would mean taking my foot off the gas... so - can't do it (unless i learn to accelerate with my left foot)

Am I missing something? Hanging your foot out shouldn't cause any problems with hitting the gas.

I think I may be missing some sarcasm

I built my own jack mount and attached it to my rear bumper with locking lug nuts and all for the price of having spare parts around the garage!

Ok heres some pics...

I used: 2 3x3 pieces of steel tube, 2 wheel studs welded through holes at the top, 2 half inch bolts with nylon nuts to mount to the bumper, 2 lug nuts (one locking for the sticky handed people) and all lined up to utilize the holes in the jack. Oh and a little flat black paint to match the bumper. The best part? It helps hide my fat chick thong lookin gas tank from the 3 inch BL.
