I lost hope in that somewhere between the first and third time my Honda was broken into in NY, before I had the Jeep.

Custom Oil pan skid plate

I finished this today, I wanted the type of skid that didnt get in the way when working on my jeep so I created this from the nth degree skids. I have the 2.5l and there are veryfew skid options. It cost me nothing to make. i found the 1/4 inch plate in my jobs scrap. It is two peices welded at about a 93 degree angle and mounted to the bell housing of the transmition.

Nice, post up some pictures.
A hitch hauler would come in handy, though today I bent the hell out of my bumper with a receiver mounted bike rack, POS tube bumper.

Got my steel today for my rear cargo rack. Realized shortly thereafter that my welding skills have fallen exponentially.

Just Keele-n-time.........

just a warning...if you ever catch that thing on a rock, it can damage the bell housing. it has happened to people with the Nth skid. the flaw is in the mounting, which is why the rest of the engine skids out there mount to the underside of the motor mounts.
but nice fab work on it

Great Job on that. Wish I could weld. Will you be building any sides for it? Let us know how it holds up, and how much weight it holds.

i might put sides on it but probley not. Its hard to say how much it can hold without it breaking lol. Both my dad and i stood on the end of it hooked up to my hitch. Both of use combined weight is about 350 lbs so i guess it can hold 350lbs

Adjustable Rear Track Bar

I made an adjustable rear track bar. I took my Rubicon none adjustable track bar cut the ends off and welded on a Rubicon small bushing on the axle end. And I welded a 1 14 thread stub to use a Rubicon small joint on the frame end. Next I have to redo the mounts since the new ends are slightly wider. I will get pics this week. I had to have a adjustable bar since I am changing to 5.5" lift rubicon springs. Also will be fabing a long arm for the rear later this year. Almost have the front long arm done and the new Dana 44 front axle ready to go in.
