You can search for like 550 cord square braid online. I know how to make them too. 550 Cord (para cord) is great stuff.

behind the stereo is a plastic piece that divides it from the a/c controls. the best way i figured was to cut the trim ring to double din first and then trim the inside accordingly if that makes sense. the opening for double din is more narrow than OEM so i backed it with wood and coated it in bondo. sanded it out and sprayed it with oem match paint. as you can see i have to re-fiberglass it.

here is my homemade snorkle that is made of pvc some rubber connectors and some spray-in truck bed liner.here is the finished snorkle i made. it is able to be relocated under the hood on rainy days and it only takes about 2 min. to do.

Really easy.. Its just stripped 550 cord.. I make a lot of different stuff out of it.. You can find 550/paracord at camping stores and Mil surplus places..
Here is a site with a ton of different stitches!

its easier to move the filter than replace the motor after it sucks in water.

hah i understand that, but couldnt u probably do some sort of cover over the filter, like the scoop on the aftermarket ones, so the rain wont cause it to suck in the water, you also get the best of both worlds, a nice high intake, and you dont have to move it when it rains

(edit) for sake of the thread i made a Cb antenna mount, nothin new but it works, i also made plans for my own snorkle which ive been gathering parts for

hahaha - I know! Plus now my little cousins have way less Lego to play with when they visit! It's a Jeep thing, though, so they wouldn't understand...
