It is possible to fold 2mm easily as long as you score the fold with a sharp blade first. Theorectically 3mm should be possible with deeper scoring. Just measure up the trunk space with the rear seat in place and it is easy to make up. Mine is in the shape of the letter "C" so that you can only get into it via the trunk door.

i did it a few days ago, but i built a gas inlet door. i used a frying pan, a hinge, and a cabinet door popper. now i can just push the door to pop it open, then push it back and it clicks shut. sorry, my camera bit the dust so no pictures. take my word for it, It's AWESOME!!!
