My guess it that it's gravity fed.... If the valve isn't open, the water is just laying in the hose, just like at home... But what do I know?

Does the pump have a built in pressure cut-off or something? What happens if it's on but the pistol grip isn't being squeezed down to open the tap?
You can get a Shure Flow water pump designed for an RV that has a demand switch built in that turns it off and on. It would work great for this application.

Was thinking of trying to solve the issue using compressed air in a sealed water tank so you simulated gravity fed water pressure... but this way sounds much easier ![]() |

I don't have any fancy pressure switch set up. You simply flip the switch, squeeze the nozzle, then flip the switch to off when you're done. I'm sure there are better setups but for under $30 I couldn't beat this one.

I did a RV pump with a hose. Just set the suction side into a creek and hook up 12V. Unlimited water supply. I had a screen on the suction to prevent trash pickup.

![]() Not super impressive, but it solves a chicago winter problem. I love the rain x latitude wipers but they don't come in jeep sizes. This is a 26" that I took apart and shortened. No more issues with the old metal wiper frames freezing up. Last edited by cbossio; 07-31-2010 at 11:36 PM.. Reason: Bigger Image |

Rear cargo rack for the LJ. I store my tools and cooler under the rack for wheelin. And lock valuables under it for daily driver duty. I built it out of 1" square tubbing and skinned it using expanded metal. The rack sits on the rear wheel tubs and bolts through them as well. I used heavy fender washers on the back side to keep the bolts from trying to pull through.
