a mounting plate for onboaird air compressor

Made a mounting plate for a Q-Industries Super-Flow air pump to mount under the hood of my jeep. Plate is made of Nylon cutting board and mounts to the stock A/C compressor bracket (no A/C...but it has the bracket for it).
Hard wired and re-tapped the cylinder head to use 1/4" NPT fittings.

here is a closer shot

Nice way to mount it, I ordered one of those from 4wd.com and I was looking on where to mount it, and you've answered it! I'll also be retapping mine for 1/4" NPT fittings.

modified jeep trunk

I was looking for a way to secure my laptop during the summer if I had to stop somewhere on the way home (groceries, drinks with the guys, etc...) so I modified my Mopar insta-trunk to be more secure.

Since I bought a full length Tuffy drawer (a cheap ebay find) I had to modify my insta-trunk so that it would still provide a flush surface but provide more security than originally designed.

I have screws and washers that go through a aluminum plate on the top to an aluminum bar that screw into each side of the Jeep's tub. It provides a safe, theft deterrent place to put things I don't want to disappear.

Im looking to fabricate a grille guard/push bar up front on my stock bumper and possibly add a little something to my rear bumper...my question is this; "Is the front/rear bumper standard steel or should I know more first before fabrication???"

Its probably just mild steel, I have welded to those things before very easily.

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfunction or uninstall themselves at any time.
