Ya aaah round here on the coast we get lots of fog.

Those are the factory driving lights. There wight.

Wight lights don't work to well in the fog you know white on white.

Best to use yellow pointed down low like 25feet out or so.

I'll be up grading to light force 170's 100w X4 soon.

I'll do an alternator up grade to 135 amp at that time as well.

ok so I was bored today, no football, it was almost 70 degrees outside I decided to install a custom rear bumper that I made. I still have to make a few mods to the tire carrier(not yet installed) & the reinforcement brackets.

What Next?

here is the beginnings of the engine skid. it mounts flush with the belly skid for a smooth transition.
right now in this pic, it is just 0.25" plate. i want to stiffen it up a bit with angle or strap welded down both sides.
couple more pix to go with the first few:

tapping threads for the bolts

here is the front support with its paint still tacky. i may do something different here in the future although this will work just fine.

the engine skid getting some reinforcement.

this is my first try at building something like this, so far so good. i'll save the fancy stuff for next time

pics of it done will be coming... (someday)

NICE!

My only concern are those bolt heads, maybe end up shearing them off on a rock?

Probably not, I'm over in Dubai in the Middle East so the shipping alone on steel parts would make people drop the idea because of the price.

Aside from the water cut face plate it was cobbled together from scrap material too

no clearance issues what-so-ever! plenty of room for everything. i drove the jeep up a retaining wall until the d/s rear came off the ground.
