I have lost the highest speed on my AC blower switch???
I dont use the AC, but when my wife drives the rig with the baby she uses it. Anyway I had to get that out because I know you guys would give me a hard time for using the AC. My AC is the top down and doors off DAAAAA. So onto the problem when ever I put the blower switch on high the blower goes completlety off. I have read in the 98' tech manual that the 3 lower speeds all go thru a relay that controls the voltage to the motor. But the highest speed is a feed straight from the Battery or is at full voltage. Has this happened to anyone else???

The opposite happened to my '99 I lost the three lower speeds . When I asked the dealer what they did to fix it they said they had to replace a resister.

I lost the 3rd position on my 99. I just replaced the switch, I think it was around $15.

i've lost the 1,2,3 positions on my speed selector; first i lost 3, then 2, then finally 1. and, i've lost all positions but reciculating AC on the other selector, first everything but feet (lower vents) and AC, then just AC, then just AC recirculating. should i just replace both selectors or is there likely more to it than this?
thanks, |
