I wish I had access to a plasma or a torch, I'm stuck with an angle grinder, sawzall, dremel, jsut the regular garage tools....

I think I can get it if I keep going at it, but at 1.99 / cut off wheel, it gets expensive when your using 3~4 a day....

Jerry got any other ideas?

Go to your local welding supply and get some Sait .045 4.5" cut-off discs. They zip through welds like a hot knife through warm butter.

For removing that front shock tower in it's entirety, tilt the disc at a 45 degree angle midpoint on the face of the weld. It's not welded on the top, so you only have to cut the ones you see on the outside of the frame.

Gauge your depth to keep from slicing the frame which will only take a couple of cuts for you to get the hang of.

this was going to be my suggestion also, blaine beat me...cut the welds from the sides at an angle, you'll start seeing which way it cuts the easiest. be patient.

honestly I dont think there is much that can be unbolted here, it is welded on come on! think! ;p

Thanks guys got most of it off with a cut off wheel. A dremel would be nice but it overheats too fast compared to the bigger tools and the bits are so expensive

Go out and look at your own TJ and see if the shock and spring tower can be unbolted. What you will discover is that it is welded and not bolted to the frame.

At this point I'd tow it to a large cliff and push it over, then say it was stolen......
Good luck
