had this EXACT thing only a couple weeks ago. My front control arm bolts were alarmingly loose.
Look at your wheels when you are getting the clunk, you will likely see the axle jerking. put a wrench on them, likely they need tightening....or hopefully nor, you've got no bushings left in there
