Hydroboost brakes
Can anyone running the Vanco Hydroboost brakes give me some feedback on how well they perform? When installing did you have any problems? Did you do anything custom during the install and do you have pictures. I have been to Stu's site and seen his install but the install is a few years old now.

Granted, the install was a year old last year, but not too much has changed. What ever minor details are different, I believe the brake lines may now be flexible....but you still have to connect them....not much difference in how the upgrade is performed.
You still need a high-flow pump, a hydroboost, hoses, and some brake lines. I recommend doing an external reservoir for the pump and using a cooler, as I've done. |

Thanks for the replies, I will use Stu's write up as a reference.

I use a smaller master in most cases (1 1/18th). You no longer have to run those hard lines as I include stainless steel flexable lines. I now reccomend a PSC pump kit. The install itself if you looked at Stus Hydroboost install and his power steering install (if you take my advice) is the same except for the master cylinder lines.

One of these days I will have enough extra $$$ to go for the Vanco brake upgrade. It's a great upgrade for those of us who have installed larger tires and are suffering from the resultant loss of braking ability!

This looks like a very good upgrade. What is the total cost anyway?
Any special sales, Van? ![]()
