Hummer "style" cold air intake question

I have been doing alot of searching on this fourm about it and would like to put one on my jeep, but i can not find the hummer cap anywhere. I found one online, but it is from a M35. I was wondering if it would work or if anyone has used one on their jeep? If so, did it work and was there any problems geting it to fit?

ya I think I'm going to stick with military surplus. For that price you might as well get a full size snorkel.

M35A2, M35 Military Truck Series Parts - TNJMurray

This is the cap I was looking at, but don't know if it will be to big. If i remember correctly I think I read somewhere that the cap is 10" wide and the tube or what ever it is call is 4 1/4".

I would think it would be a bit big to use on the TJ cowl.

I have thought about that and read the write up on how to do it, but I prefer the look of the military CAI caps. I can't believe that no one has tryed the CAI cap from a M35 before. I guess I'll have to be the guinea pig. I think that I will go to the junk yard first and see if i can get a cowl for cheap, instead of using mine only to find out that it won't work.

this one looks way too tall if youre trying to go with the original military look.

I got mine off a rolled humvee in Iraq. I'd suggest looking here for ones stateside:

DRMS Public Search Form

just search the inventory for the nearest DRMO site to you.

this one looks close:
