How to wire OTRATTW backlit switches

Hey all,

I recently got a set of switches from OTRATTW and they're fantastic, I was just wondering what wire I need to tap into to have them illuminate when I turn my headlights on. I'd rather not just start cutting wires unknowingly so I figured I'd ask you guys for some help

Since you have an auto tranny, isn't there a small bulb underneath the Gear indicator by the shift lever. One side of the bulb should be ground, the other side should be controlled by the headlights.

There is a wire behind the dash that says "illumination". I used it for my trans temp gauge so it turns on and dims with the dash lights

Any idea what color the wire would be?

Don't just blindly trust colors. Get out a multimeter or at least a test light and check for voltage only when lights are on.

That'll keep you from splicing into the wrong one and making a mess of your harness.
