How to remove a blower motor?

I have never seen a blower motor without any mounting bolts. My TJ has no mounting bolts that I can see. Usually if you look at the bottom side of motor there the bolts are. How do I remove my blower motor?

There is a tab you push in and then spin the motor right out.... Get up under the dash and you see it.. I just did this yesterday on my 03

I just did mine yesterday too. Jeepsr4me is correct there is one little plastic tab close to the firewall, bend that backwards or snap it off and one little twist of the blower motor it will fall right out

If I do break the tab it's no big deal? Does the new motor come with a new tab? Cheap plastic worries me, I tend to break things. The blower motor wont spin back off? At least I can't see it happening.

Dont break that tap... You got to turn around and lay on your back and look up.... If you can not do that stick your hands up there. You will feel the tap that is holding the motor from spinning out..

Take a pic up under there with your phone or camera... Then you will be able to see what we saying

I see it I'm not saying I'm going to break it on purpose. I was just stating I am afraid ill break it because plastic is cheap.

I just received my blower motor from Rockauto on Friday, and the tab was broken off and laying in the box. I tried to bend the tab on the old one so I could twist it out, and it broke, too. I spun the new one in, and it seems very tight.

Has anyone had a problem with a motor sans tab working its way out?
