How To Figure Out Wheel Size

I am looking at new wheels for my TJ, but the only thing is how do I figure out the wheel size I need. I see that there are 15x8 and then 5x?(number). How do you figure out those numbers? Thanks!

Let's make it easier.

The most common and aruguably best 15" wheel for the TJ is 15x8 with 4" backspacing.
3.5" to 4.5" backspacing works fine.

The bolt pattern is 5x4.5" (That's 5 lugs/ 4.5" circle)

What size tires do you want to run?
