How do you utilize your center console?

Since I got my TJ, the center console has been a junk collector & I've never been able to keep it organized. There's no sub woofer in there, just a big oddly shaped space that I know has potential but causes me a big headache... What kind of solutions have you guys come up with to better use your console?

Ditched the stocker and went with a steel locking Tuffy subwoofer console. I have the ARC amp mounted on the backside of it and integrated my tranny temp gauge in front of the T-case shift lever. Way better sound and both my winch controller and personal protection fit inside the locking portion.

I use every available inch of realestate in my TJ. My center console is equipped with an OEM sub so there's not much room left to work with so i chose to keep things i use the most in there, e.a. documents, wallet, nivea hand lotion (wife's), some hard candy for kids, couple of MP3 CDs, phone etc. My glove box holds my knife, multi-tool, flashlight and some other things.... The rest of the stuff i carry around is either packed around in corners or under the hood on the ABS tray with my tools. I have a toolbox i throw in the back for longer trips/wheeling, otherwise, i carry most basic tools under hood and the rest of the junk inside the Jeep. The door pockets are packed with blue paper towels and wet wipes for kids when dealing with sticky little fingers.

I find the center console is a great place to keep my winch remote, small tools, flashlight, pistol and a log of skoal. That's just me though.

I have a 04. As of last night took out my factory console and replaced it with a ammo can that I converted.

I removed my factory sub box that had a kicker 6.5 in it, and created this prototype out of cardboard first then built it out of mdf. Holds my cb it and utilizes all that empty wasted space for storage now. Center console just slides over top of it now creating a clean look.

I'm surprised there isn't an aftermarket insert for it. I like the way the cb is mounted 05LJTampa... I've thought about flush mounting mine to come though the front of the console
