How do you keep your Jeep dry when topless?

Just curious what you guys to do keep your Jeeps dry when parked and topless. What cab covers are good for use in the rain? Have you found a generic truck cover that works well on the TJ? I'm looking for something easy to put on and take off that doesn't cost $100. Just rhino lining and letting it get wet isn't an option because I have a child seat installed in the back seat and don't want to have to constantly remove it.

Soft top?

a tarp with elastic edge?

Or just fold the seats forward and pull your plugs...

before I had my cover from www.jeepcovers.com I used a blue tarp and some bungee cords to hold it down. I leave my bikini top on all summer.

I don't. I run husky liners without carpet, and if rain or heavy dew is forecast, I leave the canopy up or run a safari bikini. If it's going to be heavy, I fold the rear seatback down and rock both front seats forward, which minimizes water exposure. I put bestop "custom fit" vinyl seatcovers on the front seats. It's 100% better than wet cloth seats.

Do they make the custom vinyl covers for his carseat? Or a carseat that will stay attached with a seat folded?

fold the top back up, i had mine parked for about an hour and then drove about 70mi in the rain with just the top up [half doors on, soft part removed and all zip out sections removed] the edge of the interior got a little bit wet, but nothing really bad.

fold seats and pull your plugs.... what?

Mopar Cabcover

I bought it on e-bay, new for $89.00. Came with a vinyl bag. Easy to put on, covers nice, even on half doors. Has tabs with straps that tuck in under the doors and straps around the mirrors and back tail lights. It's never ever blown up or came loose even in a strong wind/storm. I recommend pulling the top up or carrying some bungee's to bridge the bars over the seats (keeps it from sagging and collecting water if it rains)

I would really recommend just ponying up for the $100. Get a jeepcovers.com cover. Of all my "mods" this is still one of my favorite. Excellent craftmanship and use it all the time.

yeah, I was wondering the same thing... here in maine, I never know when it's going to rain at night, so I don't dare leave my jeep stripped at night. And those stupid rear side and back windows are a beast to put in and out (I can't find an easy way to start the zippers). I'm thinking that one of these cap covers is going to be a purchase as soon as the jeep fund builds up a little bit again...

BTW my cover from www.jeepcovers.com has been in a storm with 50+MPH winds and it was still dry in the morning... everyone made fun of me for putting it on and I made fun of them for driving on the trail with wet seats all day.
