How dangerous is this? Rusted LCA mount

imag0009.jpg
I noticed a little weird tracking at about 70 mph and thought it was the low air pressure in tires. Then as I left a parking lot I noticed a clunk when I give it gas and brake. I pulled over and found this. Is it safe to drive carefully to work a few days?

It can kill you and the others sharing a road with you, how dangerous do you consider death to be?

Insurance won't do anything UNTIL you wreck. This one's on you.

It's a problem with rust and neglect, the insurance company won't help you.

I'd start building a chassis, at that point; "here be dragons" as they used to say.

It's a possible excuse for a day off work. The Jeep's served me well.
Now it's time to get that Buick for some luxury my wife and I've been missing.
If there's not a way to weld/fix it I'll sell the Jeep for parts.
Yes I'm a little sad cause I thought I'd keep it forever but I'm not changing the frame. I'll leave that to someone's that got the time and skill.

My buddy has the same problem. He ordered weld in brackets specifically made for that because that's a problem area. They were like $150.00 per side. Check the other side it's probably rusted through also. I don't remember the name of the Company right now. A google search will bring it up though.

The intentional purchase of a Buick is best a technical foul; at worst it will ruin any hopes you may harbor for a pleasant afterlife.

I say build a buggy, hombre.

If you let your Heep rust that bad I would assume you've never bend down and look underneath to even do an oil change... I wouldn't expect you to be able to build a buggy.

Gotta start somewhere...at least a buggy doesn't have anything in the way to start with.
