hiline fender w/snorkel(arb) and other inside stuff

there are so many pics about hiline tjs fender but all of them we have seen are with temporarily air filtrers (most w/HIGH-FLOW AIR INTAKE SYSTEMS). stuff inside are settle much easier by using a simple hf air intake but what if you want to use an airbox and bolt it with a safari snorkel ?

any of you have inside hood pics after hiline yours fender it would be very helpfull to us seeing them!

AEV Highline or DIY Highline?

If you go DIY style then you're moving the entire fender upwards.

If you go AEV style, then the "inner fenders" behind and above the spring and shock towers are all pretty much the same as stock. The difference is that the AEV fenders are then taller before they meet the hood. This means that everything under-the-hood is the same, except for maybe some limited space around the Battery area and ABS tray as things get a little tigher down low there.

With my Highline kit, I attacked the fender flare with saw to provide clearance for the snorkel. A Dremel would produce cleaner results. There's no template for this... start with a smaller hole and work your way up.

The finished results look good with the snorkel tucked into the fender. I'd put pictures in the post but for some reason my server is down tonight.

I don't think I've even seen a stock tj box used with a snorkle,
I did see someone used a airbox from a 97 ford aerostar minivan. it's what looked like a sealed unit and is what i'm planning on seeking out, unless somebody has a better idea for real cheap..

ya can actually use the stock tj box on a model without AC for the DIY highlines...

for no case i am talking about aev. i think its a super swap but very very much pricy for us and for somethink that can be done by your own.
i am talking about costum hilines (moving the entire fender upwards and then the big challenge to keep tuck inside the hood as far as possible)

any pics would be nice

Can't help you with that... with AEV style you lose hardly any fender - hood clearance on the insides. On the DIY stuff, you're essentially making your hood 3 inches closer to the fenders, hence the packaging problems.

everything will fit fine, ya just gotta move some things. I saw some one also used a buick airbox with a snorkle.

the custom highline fenders using your stock ones only cost you time, an air filter, 8 bucks worth of cuttoff wheels and a some bolts and washers to raise the rear flares which I spent about 12 bucks on cuz I got some large fender washers... I also cut off the bottom of my stock air box and reused it.

heres a couple I have done... I can answer prolly any question ya can come up with associated with raising your stock fenders, there isn't really anything I left out though on the posts, aside from the installation of an air box that is enclosed, that is something I'll be tackling in a short time...

I'm kinda wondering if the gm diesel air boxes will work also. the early ones 88 to about 94 are the flat type nd the 94-99 are round... I have a few of em, so I'll be checking it out when I get home in a week or so.

there was someone that is using a gallon paint can for an airbox. I don't know what kind of actual requirements the 4.O needs..
