ok i currently have 31x10.5 r15 tires on my rims can you determine what size of tire i can put on these rims?

i'm gettign a 4inch lift and want to go to 35's but i don't really want to have to buy new rims.

Well, what rims do you have? Stock? Look int he TJ FAQ sticky to determine which ones if you are unsure. That will determine what size you can run, but most likely you will have to install wheel spacers for 35s.

Run 1.25 inch Spacers from spidertrax and you should be able to run 35s on stock wheels just fine.

I'd bet they are 15x8 if the previous owner was smart about it. Measure the backspacing, that's what will decide if you need spacers or not. While your at it measure the rim width too since there were no specs in that link.

You're getting confused. Having 31x10.50s doesnt mean you have 15x10s....you might but your tires wwould look like balloons. You most likely have 15x8s. You will have to figure out the wheels backspacing in order to find out if you can run 35s on them or not. 3.75-4 inch Backspacing is prime for a 12.50 inch wide tire.
