Can we all see some pictures of this outcome

NEWtoTHEjeepLIF,

Hey, Can we see some pictures of the outcome of your project with your fenders you raised, the hood & that open gap inside the fenderwall.
You have not mentioned anything from the original post from the past with that project. You were so excited to do that so, can you show us some pictures.
Thanks

Project was put on a major delay with a couple big problems... Right now its kinda in a midway state. First I broke my grinder and had to buy a new one. Then the day after I was able to get down to Home Depot for a new one I fractured my left foot and had to spend 7 days completely off of it Yesterday was the first day I could walk or do anything for almost a week. I should be able to get back at it soon but as of now it basicly just the fenders slightly lower than they were before (right at the line on the body) and the hood is chopped to match the amount they were lifted.
Nothing fancy or off-road worthy just enough to get me to work for the next couple days till I can get back to it and finish up my part of the work. Then I'm still going to have to wait till have can save enough cash ( The hospital was expensive since my insurance has yet to go into affect) to get this guy to make my custom tubing setup and install it the places with needs to be welded on. It won't be "finished" for a month or so with the delays but as of now it's just barely road worthy.

I can get some pics of the hood chop and fender placement but none of the supports or tubing has been done yet.

Sure lets see some pictures how it looks now.

I also noticed you are having sticky breaks & having some noise problem with your jeep while you drive.

Have you been driving your jeep with the chopped fenders that are not completed & your chopped hood? Is your hood on securely to drive it legally... and do you have front turn signals?

I'm just wondering about all that stuff because I noticed you were excited about this mod.

Oh, for heaven's sake! I assumed you were just drunk and trying to be funny after finding your brake system would require modification for something you were doing, not that you would be doing mods when you're barely at the level of filling your own gas tank.

Start with an oil and filter change. Replace a wheel and a master cylinder. Route and fab some brake lines. Rebuild an engine. It may take a while for those tasks to come up, so hang out with and help others.

I think we're all just shocked. It's kind of like somebody saying "I need to take off the foot-thingies in front of the seat under the steering circle, because they're getting in the way of my feet when I sit".

Sticky breaks? Brakes? No problems with my brakes. I had one problem with my TB and now some squeaking...but if I remember correctly it was squeaking before mod too

The only way I could imagine the mod having anything to do with the squeaking is if it came squeaking came from my grille cause I know it was attached to the fenders and maybe it got loose when I took them off ??? I doubt it though.

YES i have been driving it with the chopped uncomplete parts. They are all attached but there is just a big space under the fender where mud would get in and they would cruble off road. They are fully attached however. The only think different about the hood is the fact that it is a couple inches shorter and now instead of attaching with the latches on the side it attaches from the inside (with a temporary clip like setup) until i get the parts to secure it on the front (in the mail). I have had front turnsignals since I went flattie months ago. I installed some leds CJ style in the grille.

Yeah had it not been for the foot unjury I would have finished my part by now but when You can't walk its hard to get any work done.

Did you read the quote you quoted or is that too much to ask? Understand what you are talking about before opening your mouth in a two week old thread that you don' even understand.

For the fifth time. The brake system is fine. I was told by some people on the forum that there was nothing important attached to the fenders and I could just unbolt everything on there and start the project. At the point of arriving at the "shiny metal thing" and "big black thing" I was wondering how to safely remove them SO I COULD DO A MOD, THEN RE-INSTALLL THEM. Not so I could take them out for good or modify them or anything of that nature.

I would truely be interested in knowing where your logic comes from... Because I don't know what my brake system looks like and don't understand it, I am
"barely at the level of filling my own gas tank"

What does this have to do with anything? Is this the thread where I aske how I could be like you? Or where I asked your opinion on how I could become worthy in your eyes to work on my OWN ****ING VECHICLE. I got a jeep because I wanted a toy. It turns out I have more fun ****ing it up than I do driving it... It's my god given right...

No it's really not like that at all. Again please explain for ****ing logic...

For those who haven't yet figured it out, I'm an a**hole

I was shocked to see someone modifying the vehicle without instantly recognizing brake parts. I truly did think it was a drunk joke, because that's the sort of flash thought I'd think was funny ("They said there's nothing important there, so I guess I can just rip these out!"), and if I were drunk might actually try to express.

I've got no good excuse for being mean about it, and I'm sorry.

Thats all good and I have no problem with differing opinions. I was just tired of people busting my *** on this stupid thread about something I was never even planning to do. (ie. I never meant to remove the brakes)

I think that everything in this thread was just mis-understood. Correct I didn't know what my brake system looks like, but I had no intention of actually removing it other than just for the mod so I could work around better with the fenders. I was not and never even thought about simply removing and leaving out my brakes.

Some updated pics...

Old front end

View from front kinda high (camera angle that is)

View from front kinda lower (camera angle)

View from side to show how it lines up. (still needs rubber around the cuts)

Stage 2 is to add to the inner fender to protect the engine bay from mud and flying rocks.

Stage 3 is to take it to a guy who will tube it up for me. Kinda like an exo but just around the front and sides.

Stage 4 get it back on the trail..... I miss the mud

Thanks for taking the quick pictures & not so bad looking.
Do you have any pictures of a side view of your fenders?
I also noticed that you dont have any wipers on your windsheild. I hope you don't drive without it. That's illegal in Illinois.
Well, sorry about that part about your breaks saying it was sticky. There was a thread that you asking about your gas pedal sticking. I was meaning to ask about that & mis-typed about the incorrect part. It was your gas pedal not your breaks.
Well, thanks again for the pictures

Actually I do drive it without wipers and I don't think anyone even notices. Clearly I don't drive it when raining...right now it just gets me the two miles to and from the bank. Truthfully with a rig like mine right now legal is the last thing on my mind..... I just pray that she'll get me to work.

I don't have one from the side but can take it tomorrow when it gets light again.
