I will post pics soon. I will be doing all of the work myself, except the welding, in my garage at home. I will be using the transfer case from TJ. I will be using the services of the JeepSpeed shop for all parts not available in Canada and for my harness and pcm re-configuration. My plan is to document this build and provide all costs and any information I gather. Currently I have shelled out $4500.00 for the Hemi including all the shipping and handling fees. I am doing this build because I can, I have the money and the time. If any one else has already done this I would welcome any advice, part numbers etc. I will also be keeping the Dana 30 and Dana 35 axles my little baby came with along with the drive shafts. I want to see what happens with the Hemi and 5 speed driving them. If they break I will replace them with something stronger. I do work full time so this build my take some time to complete.

Nice engine swap but how long do you think the small spline version of the t-case you have and D35c is gonna hold up to that beast? I'd do it right the first time and install a t-case and rear axle up to that kind of torque.

Ok the parts have been ordered : Teraflex motor mounts, transmission mount, belly pan and gas pedal bracket, from grsuspension in Quebec and I have sent my wiring harness away for modification. I am going to sell the 2.5 drive train complete and get another t-case from a 4.0. I know I should replace the axles too but I want to see what happens and get it on video hopefully , I will have the axles ready to go when the D35 goes bang.

Update

Well sorry guys the project is taking a little longer than I first thought. I do have most of parts now; just the radiator and electric fan still to come. I live in Ottawa so working through the winter was a wash; no heat in garage. I have sold the 2.5L drivetrain and changed out the input shaft on the np231. I will be cutting the old motor mounts off soon and dropping in the new motor. If anyone has an 04 TJ Instrument Cluster Pinout diagram that would be useful.

Added some pics.

Hotwireauto.com sells a harness that will interface with your gauges. It's a plug and play system. Make sure you add a trans temp gauge. The 545FE tends to get really hot (mine has seen 260F). Be sure to add the largest aftermarket cooler you can find.

Check this hemi video.

This is actually for a '05, but I think it's the same. Hope that helps...

Be very careful with the wife mod. Uninstallation can be extremely expensive. Wife mods have been known to take the Jeep and all other mods during the uninstall process. Also, make sure you service your wife mod properly as often as humanly possible. Wife mods not properly serviced may malfuction or uninstall themselves at any time.

RockJocks are 60's, not a 9" axle.

In my opinion, True Hi9 is making the best stuff right now.

My humble 5.2 swap led me to ditch the TJ rear 44 for a full width 60 rear and front HP44. Good luck with it man.
