Help on what type of 1ton axles I should use?

I had been thinking of using a set of Dana 60s that I have but now I've acquired a set of 40" mud tires, so 1tons seem to been a better choice, I have a 2004 unlimited with a stroked 4.0, A/T, stock 4/1 transfer case with 4" lift, my ? is what type of truck should I look for while part hunting, any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you
I should also add that I normaly run eather a set of 32/11.50-15s or 33/12.50-15s and plan to cut the fenders and trim the hood.

D60s are usually considered one ton axles.

The 60s I have are from a 82 3/4 ton GM and are 6 lug, thats why I didn't think they were 1 ton rears, I don't know if they were original to that truck, I also want to goto a 8 lug 6.5 pattern, would also like to be able retain the use of the 1ton gears

The Dana 60 rear axle was used on Jeep, Ford, GM and Dodge 3/4 & 1-ton trucks and vans from 1957-02. The Dana 60 rear axle was used in Jeep trucks in two forms, semi-floating and full-floating. The Dana 60-2 semi-floating rear axle version has a 5 on 5.5" lug pattern and was used in Jeep Gladiator J-4000 trucks from 1969-73. The Dana 60-3 full-floating rear axle version has an 8 on 6.5" lug pattern was used in Jeep J-20 trucks from 1974-87.
The Dana 60 front axle was used in GM 1-ton trucks from 1977-91, in Ford 3/4-ton trucks with the Snowfighter and Camper Special options 1978-79 & 3/4-ton Super Duty trucks 2002-newer, sporadically in Ford 1-ton trucks from 1978-04, in Dodge 3/4 & 1 trucks from 1975-02, and in IHC 1300 Camper Special trucks in 1975. Just looking for advice to what the best rears to use, ease of availability, price to do install being I'm doing the work myself and most probably will need help with the fab.

iF YOU GO WITH d-60S YOU WILL HAVE TO USE 16" rims. My front 60 came out of a 79 1ton dump duelly and has 4.56 gears already. I am looking for a gm 14 bolt for my rear, which is stronger than d 60s. I would look for a late 70s or early 80s chevy and grab all of the drive train. N/p 205 case, turbo 350, d-60 and 14 bolt.
but my YJ is off road only.
