HELP. serp. belt

i'm trying to put a new serp belt on and i can get the shrouding the goes around the fan off is there anyother way toreplace the belt

you don't need to remove that...what year TJ? and the 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder?

OK...I searched your old posts, and found that you have a '97...but I'm not sure of which engine...

here's the routing diagram for a '97...and it shouldn't matter which engine:




there should be a bracket on the Power Steering bracket...with a bolt through the top...that's the bolt you'll need to loosen to get enough slack to remove the old belt...

let me know if you need more detailed instructions...actually, I just checked Stu's site, and he has the write-up already (surprise, surprise)...check about half-way down this page:
