help with gas mileage

I have an 01 tj sport, 3 inch lift 33/1250/15 MTrs, and i get about 160-170- before the light comes on, its a 5 speed and all the tire pressure is fine, i have NO IDEA what is going on with it. My driving is usually about 5 miles at 45 mph, then stop light, etc. No stop and go or anyhting. My check engine light is not on and i have no idea what to do...thanks in advance

What is your axle ratio? If you have the 3.07 stock gear ratio it will kill you gas mileage.

You're getting about what I get, roughly.

Face it: you're driving a lifted brick with a tent on top.

it says 3.73 on the tag, with the rear D44, PS: I have not changed speedo gears, could that affect it?

The speedo change will vary based on the overall speed. Basically the faster you go, the more it is off. The slower, the more accurate. Here is a site that I like to use to compare the revolutions. The downfall is it's all in metric tire sizes, but that is a quick fix if you multiply by 25.4 to convert to millimeters. Not that this size exists but using a 317.5x72.5x15 would get you very very close to a 33x12.5x15 tire. Probably the closest thing you can use on this site is 315x70x15.
