now that i regeared it seams like im shifting all the time. and it tachs way to high.

Good excuse to go up to 32's or 33's!

Your now running the stock Rubi setup with 31s and 4.11s, enjoy the extra torque.

what is a normal rpm too cruise at?? 2000, 2500 or 3000 rpms? when i ran with my 3.07's i rarely ran over 2k... so anything higher feels like she's going to explode. i will say my jeeps hauls when taching 3k..

My TJ tachs at 2700 RPMs at 70 mph with 35" tires and 4.88 which is just right. 2,000 RPMs at cruising speed is just too low for the kind of engine the Jeep engine is.

isnt that why you regeared, to get your revs back? I just put bigger tires on my SE and im having the opposite pains, getting used to staying in lower gears longer..

i run my 4 banger around 2500rpm most of the time,

well, i have had a chance to log some more hours on my new gears... i think they are starting to grow on me. i think that because i had 31's with 3.07's for years i just got used to them.

Your RPM is fine with that combo. Just get used to it.

I run 3,200 RPM at 70 in mine.

Edit: Looks like you are already getting used to it.

the biggest thing that i was trying to figure out was when to shift... because i was used to running such a low rpm it feels very unatural to cruise around town at 2500 rpms im used to 1800 at the max
