Heater/AC vent problem

I'm having a problem with the dashboard heater/ac vents in my Jeep. (97 TJ) The windshield defroster and lower (foot) heater vents work, but the dash vents seem to be blocked or clouged. Does anyone have any advice as to what it is/how I fix it?

Yeah I've got the same problem. No matter which setting I put it on all I get is windshield and foot vents. I've taken the dash off and cant see a problem. Any help?

the arms attached to the vaccuum actuators under the dash likely broke.

they are plastic and break easily. they may still be in place, but wont work if the small clip portions break off

I had to replace all of them on my 98tj including the one that is cable operated for the hot/cold door

where exactly are the arms/vaccuum actuators located under the dash? I have the same problem.

they are located under the dash on the drivers side. You should see a large group of brightly collored vacum lines, leading to vacum actuators w/ move the levers

Heater/AC vent problem

If these arms are what's broken, how hard are they to replace? Where would I go to get new ones?

Read that thread, it should help you out. The first thing you need to do is check to make sure you don't have any vacuum hoses loose. If they are fine, chances are one of the actuator arms has broken. It's a fairly easy fix, but space is tight so it's a pain.
