headlights not working - how to disable DRL?

Hey guys

My low beams have stopped working but i have all other lights working including my high beams, i checked all the fuses and they all look to be working as well. I was searching the forum and i came across a post that said that if your day time running light module has died you will get high beams only, no low beams. I really dont have the cash to replace that at the moment since anything that says 'module' is usually not cheap =/ My other car the DRL are a little relay looking box that you just unplug. Is the Jeep the same thing or do i have to buy a new module. And is there anything else that i could be missing here as well?

Summary

parking lights, high beams, turn signals all work,

low beams do not work

Thanks guys

have you tried the e-brake trick? pull the e-brake 1 notch (wont be enough to engage brake) but on most cars it disables the DRL

Same thing with low beams - turned them on this morning and both died right away. Hi beams OK, all other lights seem to work, but there is a slight flicker on remaining lighting. Is there a relay hidden in the fuse box that carries the current that the turn signal stalk can't because the fuse looks healthy? A burned out relay seems a better choice than a weekend threading a wiring harness or randomly replacing parts.

Low beams mysterious death

Pop open the fuse box under the hood on the passenger side. Look for the encapsulated relay marked "headlights", pull it then reinsert. The headlights may work. If not, replace the relay. No mysteries. The fuse/relay box contains many encapsulated relays that if intermittently working or dead will save a fat repair bill.
