headlight w/ built in LED lights made of?

These lights seen HERE

is that glass that the bulb and LED is behind or is it polycarbonate and how do you know?
If it's polycarbonate (like plastic but not as clear and more prone to scratches however very strong) then I don't want.
But if it's glass I'm all about it.
Anyone with info, thank you in advance.

Perhaps a call to Chevy's of the 40's and ask? Let us know what you find. Kind of expensive but a clean way to incorporate turn signals.

◦877-735-0587 - ask for "Velvet" (I know, the name seems... "funny")

I might add, don't be so quick to avoid polycarbonate lenses. ALL new cars come with them. They are incredibly durable (I've seen some nearly 20 years old still looking new) and even better - rocks won't chip them. And they are absolutely as clear as glass.

How bright are the LED blinkers? I know that's a very subjective question...

What I'd like to know is if they are visible during the day?

Thanks for the info. That eases my mind if in fact these are polycarbonate.

I've seen some plastics headlights that when I touched em and knocked on em with my finger they felt/sounded like glass.

I'd like to think I can tell the difference between glass and plastic. These are most definitely plastic.

As for the brightness of the signals, they are not bright the way they are intended to be wired. I altered the circuit that powers them to change the way they work. Now they work well.

The way they are designed to function, they are meant to blink from dim-bright-dim when the parking lights are on. The difference between dim and bright is not adequate to be safe in my opinion. I added a rectifier and wired them to my side markers which makes them always blink on-off-on... much more noticeable.

Unfortunately, I don't have a video of them in daylight... I'll get one for you soon.

Side note... your argument would have been sound had I said I thought they were glass. However, I know they are plastic. While there may be plastic headlights people mistake for glass, there are very few glass headlights that people would think are plastic.

Meh. Don't bother, it's a variant on what you've already seen. For the moment, he's too into playing man of mystery on the light setup and is simply shilling his fawsome TJ build.
