That mirror is my new best buddy!

Who knew it would display 134 degrees!

I'd give the Currie tech boys a call before ordering...

Seems I will have to. I have stock suspension. I keep hearing I'll run into issues.

talked to Chris @ Currie. He stated the MINUMUM lift needed for this currie correctlync is 2". And is must be 2" suspension lift. Not BL. Guess that settles it. He stated to get it to fit you'd need to modify the drag link.
He did state that I could get the tie rod but then the weak stock drag link will be weaker. Guess I'll be stickin with stock for now. Figured I'd add this in there for those that were debating if it would actually work in stock form or not.

By modify the draglink what he meant was you have to screw the adjuster off and shorten the threads on the draglink and pitman TRE so you can shorten the draglink enough for the shorter height.

Truly not a big deal and can be done faster than it takes you to unscrew and screw the adjuster back on.

Hmmm... I can screw the adjuster off. That sounds easy. But how would I shorten the threads? Take a metal cutter to it? How should I measure? What is a pitmant TRE? I know what a pitman arm is but not the latter. What would you charge if say I purhcase one and ship to you to have you cut it... I've seen your work, I trust you rather then me doin it. I'd pay you as well. It seems I'll need this as my 35's will make quick work of my stock draglink and tie rode. I'm just wondering if doing this will assist my stock track bar or add stress to the stock trackbar.

How about I don't charge you? Just order one from Gerald, tell him to have me shorten the threads so it will go on a stock rig and you're good to go. Bear in mind it will take a bit longer to get it.

My stock steering was shot and I replaced it with the Currie Steering a couple of weeks ago. Rides real good now. Steering is tight as can be for a Jeep.

I have a question on this subject: If you're going to all the trouble of replacing the Tie Rod and Draglink setup, why would you not go ahead and get rid of the inverted Y steering setup and go with something more like this where your tie rod is going from wheel to wheel:
Rustys Offroad: Conversions - Jeep XJ-ZJ-TJ-YJ Tie Rod

Thanks for your input!

Gerald and I are partners in Savvy Offroad and we sell Currie products. Sorry about that, like you I keep seeing everyone refer to him by his name, so it never dawned on me that there may have been someone left who didn't know who he was.

Yes, please call Gerald at 949-795-0909 at Savvy and tell him what's up.

What's so bad about the inverted Y steering?
