Have questions about more axle droop?

I have been looking at axle droop in relation to control arms. My jeep seems like at a certain point the control arm binds on the shock bracket in the front. I am still running stock lowers in the front and have thought about changing to tube style. Would these let the axle droop more or do i need to mod the bracket? I have seen where a couple guys have cut the bracket for more droop. If this is the case how much should i cut and anyone have any pics of this mod? Thanks.

What's custom about a suspension when still using factory control arms?

Anybody can take advice if it doesn't interfere with their plan.

Whose springs are they, not every manufacturer measurements equal out to what they advertise?

The easiest and most effective option is better arms, like Savvy or Metalcloak etc etc. They will be narrower and should help your issue. They will also flex better, and once you have those you can determine if you need to trim, which should be much less than with the factory clunkers.

Personally, I'd swap my stock links for double adjustables with good joints and see where I got before I took the grinder to anything. Although the size of the lower link's cross section might be physically smaller, the improvements in articulation come from joints that are far superior to the stock control arm bushings.

I was looking at the metalcloak control arms and they look close in design to the newer joints that rc uses. Do you guys think they will hold up pretty good?

There are no similarities between RC's flex joints and MC's bushings.

the only companies i would consider for joints at this point in time is metalcloak and Currie JJ's. I just switched to the MC joints and the ride is amazingly smooth. Next month is the earliest i will be able to give a realistic first person experience with these as we are heading to the Rubicon then. JJ's are tried and proven no doubt though. with 3 inchs of lift I believe you would be hard pressed to find your brackets the limiting factor of your droop. I may be wrong though. get some adjustable arms/nice joints get it twisted and then figure out what your direction is going to be.
