Hardtop Defroster....

My defroster tab came off the glass, so i went to autozone and bought the repair kit. Did all the instructions and that stuff doesnt seem like it can hold the amount of weight that I want it to. Has anyone else found a heavier duty type of glue?

This is a tough.

http://autorepair.about.com/cs/doity.../aa112302a.htm

I didnt read though it all and havent dont it myself. But if you are going to try the soldering iron then make sure tis a nice and hot day outside and the glass is atleast warm to touch. Glass doesnt like to expand, especially when tis only a small section. Tis likely that you can break the glass.

There's also

http://recreation-news.com/article.p...&post_nr=22486 (i would try the JB weld, tis strong stuff)

Tis amazing what 15 seconds and www.google.com can do.

On a side note. Make sure you remove the old glue before you try anything else. And if the glue is on the window then BE CAREFUL not to remove any of the leftover tracks of defrosty goodness.
