Grill inserts.

Can someone tell me the trick to taking out my grill inserts so that I don't break them... Thanks.

They should just pop out fairly easily. I usually get mine from the top and pull gently but firmly and they come on out. I do mine that way to clean up behind them.

Open the hood and looke behind the grille. You'll see the little tabs that are holding them in.
Also, some have inserts inside the inserts. The second pic is basically the same insert, but with the extra bars in there.

When I took mine out, I couldn't avoid chipping the paint no matter how hard I tried.

Mine are like the inserts in your first picture.. I'm off until Monday so I will have to look under the hood to see if I can find what is holding them in place..
