I don't expect you to understand my plans, nor did I ask for advice on what wheels I should or shouldn't rock crawl with, if I even planned on that in the first place.

sorry if I'm sounding a little crass but presumptions irritate me to no end.
yes but you were being a smart *** for no reason and i dont see anywhere where he said they were not that great he is just saying you SHOULD be on 15X18's............would be the ideal thing to do....not that yours suck and the others are better.........so chill out

Ian-x what do you have in mind for the 15x10's? I have 35"s and I wish I had 15x8... I have already destroyed one of them so one more and I will be forced to buy some 15x8s... so I am not assuming anything I am asking?

owen, haha, i was being a "smart ***", i plan on running 12.5" tires just to piss off the hard core "rock crawlers".

seriously, i had the tires from my last truck but wanted the 10 wide rims to keep my options open in the future. i haven't gotten that far though.

by the way, it's been one of those days so forgive me if i'm being a little cranky.

Whatever the downside of 15x10s may be, the red in the suspension makes up for

I think it looks freaking awesome. What are the plans for the spare? New bumper with a carrier? or try to fit 33s in the stock location after the body lift?

thanks seapahn, i appreciate that. i was starting to think that my jeep sucked and i'd have to light it on fire and roll it down the steepest hill i could find.

edited to add: for now i'm just going to try to find a 33X9.5 used tire, but as of yet, there aren't too many around. i've spent quite a bit of cash over the last week so i would prefer to go used on this one.

Just some advice until you go with something wider than a 12.50 tire.......Don't air down as much as the guys with 15x8 wheels. I would get nervous around 15 PSI with 10" wheels. Loosing a bead is no fun and it WILL happen if you run low pressure on those wheels long enough.

Jeep looks good. Be kind to that D35 with the 33s though.

CJEli, he's running beadlocks so I doubt his tire will pop off the bead.

I suggest taking that stock spare off for now. Jeeps look better IMO without a spare (unless the jeep is stock). It is, however, a good idea to have one for the trail. Beadlocks do help keep the risk of tire problems down, good choice I like the black.

I guess I retract my last post. Just found out they're street locks, still look good though.

I,ve been hanging out on this forum since I bought my Jeep and I have to say that I never got the impression that people were trying to do anything but help other Jeep owners and have a good time . That said I have to say that I didn't get the impression that you were being rude in your posts (maybe as you said having a bad day but that's understandable ). The lift looks great . How does it handle now ? If anybody doesn't like the way you build up your Jeep , don't let them ride in it !

They have those " Trail Rated " badges so they don't need anything else , right ?

thanks murph. it rides great, much better than stock. those little stock tires made it really twitchy and top heavy. the new suspension feels much more compliant and forgiving. add that to the now wider wheel base and i can't complain.

Everyone uses their jeep for different purposes. Some people like me ...NEVER ROCK CRAWl.....I have almost no rocks where I live. SO lets not assume everyone goes on rocks. I have dirt mud and fallen logs. Some people have nothing but dirt and sand. others only use their jeep for four wheeling occasionally, and could care less about rock, mud or anything. Some people buy their jeeps only cause they want a four wheel drive to look cool or for the winters up north. I guess what im saying is: EVERYONE uses them for what they want to, dont assume this forum is just for ROCKCRAWLING. BTW I dont think steererman was trying to be rude....He just shouldtn have said "not to bring up the topic"...lol..and he was the one bringing it up..MORE IRONIC

Hey guys. Sorry to let this get out of hand. I had a rough day too ian X. I want 15x10's too but will wait till I have a 14.50 width tire that will fit it okay. I , myself prefer rock crawling. So I want to be careful with my wheel and tire size. Do be careful because you only have that Dana 35 rear. With the 33's you really want to be careful of it breaking. Sorry again for getting pissed. We are all here to help each other out.
