Got my lift in on Saturday! WOOHOO!

all I can say is what a difference. the spring rates seem much more compliant and flexible. much less harsh ride and not nearly as twitchy.

what I ended up using was the 4" Skyjacker single value flex with a procomp adjustable track bar. the lift went in pretty straight forward with a few hang ups on some minor pieces. the drop pitman arm(I always hated those!) was thrown away in favor of the mentioned Procomp parts. this made the job much easier and overall quality of the lift much better. no hack and drill on the mount locations. I also opted to use the transfer drop but will be removing it when I buy the 1" BL and 1" MML. straight away the steering felt great with no sign of death wobble or vibrations.

a few notes, for those who said the swaybar links would come out easy due to the jeep being two weeks old were wrong. I ended up having to use an impact hammer and forked wedge to remove them, although the only thing damaged by this was the rubber boot.

overall, now I'm running 33X12.5X15 X-Terrain on 15X10 Rock Crawler street locks. I'll try to get some pics up tonight or tomorrow morning.

by the way, I only have two purple finger nails from not only hitting my fingers once but twice and my friend dropping a breaker bar on my other hand.

Aren't you glad someone invented the pickle fork?

Did you check the toe-in? Mine was off a bit when I did my 3". If it isn't set correctly you'll have weird tire wear.

I promise that the MML will not be enough to get rid of the vibes. with the 4" lift you are gonna need an SYE and CV driveshaft regardless becaus eof the extreme angle on the short driveshaft. You can get away with the MML and prolly a bunch of washers instead if the drop rails on the T-case skid. I played with mine after the MML thinking I would be golden only to find I had to put the t-case drop back in to be vibe free. I have since upgraded to an SYE and CV combo and also swapped out my rear end...Playing with the crossmember skid is not very fun trying to get rid of vibes.

Congrats on the lift though sounds reall cool!

As for the purple nails. When I did my axle swap my buddy Alex kept saying if I didn't have at least one good cut at the end he was going to cut me on purpose...LOL

Oh yeah nad this thread is worthless without pics...

alignment, yes it was clearly off and i had it taken care of this morning.

so far i have had no vibrations. the only real reason i want to pull out the transfer drop is because my tranny shifter now sits too far back . i adjusted the T-case linkage but didn't get to the actual tranny linkage so i'm not sure if there is an adjustment or not. anyone know about this?

yeah the tranny linkage sucks with a t case drop. This is what you can do to make it better.

Pull the boot up off the console and then cut the foam crap off the shifter itself. Then try it. If its no good then take out the plastic retainer around the outer boot. The only other option is to dremel the tub at the back to make more room. I was SO happy to get the stock feel back after I got rid of my T-Case drop.

Just remember that if you do the MML and you try the jeep without the T-case drop and get vibration it is VERY bad. you u joints will not hold up that long under vibes.

I wheel pretty and I have 15x10 wheels... that being said they are not the 'ideal" setup but at the same time they are not impossible to wheel with... I hate the chrome factor and I will be replacing them with 15x8 rockcrawlers pretty soon. Ask anyone who I have wheeled with and they will tell you about the lines I like to take...

it's not that I'm not open to ideas, but as you can read in the original post I just bought the jeep and the wheels, so to come along and bring up some point(which he said he didn't mean to) about how they are not that great is a little insulting. but then again, I guess I shouldn't expect anyone to ever consider the fact that I may have already had certain parts in my garage and maybe just might be trying to accommodate for future plans.

I don't expect you to understand my plans, nor did I ask for advice on what wheels I should or shouldn't rock crawl with, if I even planned on that in the first place.

sorry if I'm sounding a little crass but presumptions irritate me to no end.
