going over bumps... sounds like transmission is banging around

I've been noticing this for a while but never really thought it was a problem. Just was another jeep thing. But i drove a frineds jeep and it didn't do this at all. I have a 2002 wrangler sport and everytime i hit one of thoes really wide speed bumps it sounds like the transmisssion is banging around... AM i crazy or is this really just a jeep thing?

The mount is located under the tunnel brace/skid plate that covers your trannie. It has 6 large bolts holding it to the frame of the Jeep. You will see 4 smaller bolts in the center of said plate, these are what hold the trannie mount to the skid plate.

Make sure you have a jack to lower the skid plate on...while you remove the bolts...or it WILL come down in a hurry. I just use my floor jack and jack up to the plate (just touching it), this way you don't bind the bolts and you can lower the plate easily with the jack.
