give rough country a chance? new 4" x-flex system

ok so, i have a budget of 2500-2600 or so to get a 4" lift, 4 33x12.5 tires and a sye/cv. I had never even considered going with rough country before because of their problems with springs sagging and their old control arm design. However, their new control arm design acually looks high quality, and i heard they moved their manufacturing to canada? i plan on wheeling quite frequently on moderate trails and a yearly trip to moab. My question is should i give this new lift a try or look elsewhere?

Their new X-Flex kit looks really good. The pricing is the best on the market.

I have heard nothing but good reviews about their new springs and shocks. You're right, their new control arms look healthy.

If I was going short arm, I would probably buy their new kit. It looks like a great value. I'm sure it's a definite improvement over their older kits.

It looks pretty complete, not sure how the rear track-bar is addressed, maybe a extension bracket is included?

I'm digging their new 4" kit. They finally stepped up to the plate and are giving us real control arms. The ONLY concern I would have with the arms is the fact that they have a poly bushing instead of rubber. But either way, for $999, that's a sweet deal.

The new X-series Kit was designed to be a tough, great performing kit at a market leading price. The new lower arms are a heavy 1/4 thick DOM and Solid DOM uppers with a X-Flex Joint. Kit is Priced at a Intro Price of $999 and includes:

(4) Flexy Coil Springs made in the USA
(4) Lower X-Flex Control Arms
(4) Upper X-Flex Control Arms
(4) Shocks (upgrade to 2.2's)
New High Flex, Ajustable 1/4" Wall DOM Front track bar and bracket
Drop Pitman Arm
Rear Track bar bracket (optional rear adjustable)
Front Disconnects, Rear Extented Links
Front & Rear Ext. SS brake lines

Also, products are covered by our "We will fix it" warranty. If it breaks... we will replace it.

I'd like to see a 4 link rear setup. My current plan for "NextJeep's" suspension is RockKrawler's X Factor Plus with 4 link and an OME kit. That will run me in the neighborhood or 2 grand unless RockKrawler would sell their kit with no springs and drop the price.

If RC had a short arm system with 4 link rear I'd seriously consider them.

I'm sure there new 4" is a lot better than there old 4", you do have another option for about the same price.

Rubicon Express 4.5" with SYE and CV Driveshaft:
http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/rubicon-express-re7000-superflex-combo-shocks-p-8495.html

That's $1,834 for the lift and SYE CV combo

The Rough Country kid is pretty complete, I just don't know anyone who has it yet...

Just to point out a couple of differences:

Our Lowers are adjustable, not fixed like the RE in the link
Rear SS Brakelines
Our Shipping is half the price $60 compared to over $110
You Get Direct Customer Service and Our Full Replacement Warranty

the rubicon express 4.5 superflex was my go to option. but im definatly looking into the rc kit and will most likely get it because it suits my budget a little better. it really looks like they stepped their game up because i never would have considered their old kit. thanks for the replies...

Hopefully i can get it ordered in a couple of weeks. If so, ill post up a review on the installation and performance. Why do settlement checks take so long to arrive???

rcjeep, do you think you could get some video footage of your rig flexing and post it up?

psssst, the RE 4.5 on 4x4 groupbuy is better than a 4WP employee discount.
Just got mine yesterday.
