3 - led HP white in the cluster and HP white in the HVAC. the pics i took this morning so you really can't tell how crisp they are because it isn't dark. The HVAC still lights up blue even with white LEDS but it matches my pioneer HU perfect

I got my replacement led bulb and replaced my one defective dash led bulb. I also just got an email from superbright saying they were sending my replacement out today so I might have an extra one

Okay, I feel stupid posting another question on this topic, but after reading about thirty pages I just got really confused. I have a '99 with the tri-knob HVAC and would like to replace all of my cluster, HVAC, and auto trans light with red LEDs. However, I cannot figure out all of what I need. If anyone could help me out, I would be grateful!

Im a fan of good write ups with lots of pics! (much the same way a drunk appreciates the menus at waffle house being all pics at 3am...) Great job

Im sure this was discussed somewhere on this site but I cant locate the question or answer with searching.

But are LED lights DIMable? If I do the superwhite LED lights in my instrument cluster with the dimmer on the column not work anymore? Meaning either off or really bright ON?

Thanks!

Yes they are dimmable with the Jeep switch.

Great thread. Thank you for pics from post #1. Now only 20 pages into sorting out what I need/want for my 05 TJ from superbrightleds.com.
Question (surely answered in the 40+ pages I haven't read yet) : Anyone tried eBay for light purchase? eBay substantially cheaper than superbrights?

I have the amber in mine, I will try to remember to throw up a pic tonight.

I think I read somewhere that it was easier on the eyes at night... I may have just pulled that straight out of my but, but I'd like to think I read it somewhere.

Either way, I really like them at night. At dusk when there is still light out, they are kind of an off color, not quite the amber or orange they are at night,
and my dimmer switch technically works, but just barely, maybe it's just me.

Edit: Just realized you said HVAC. Oh well, but I did find a pic on my phone.

I thought about ebay, but then thought what kind of service would you get if a led didn't work. I had one from superbrights not work and they sent me 2 to replace it no questions asked.

Quick question,

I have a 97 with the slider HVAC.

After reading I need 7 of these to do the dash and the HVAC.

Which one is WHITE? the on I have selected?

and how do I access the bulbs on the HVAC?
