JVC KD-AHD59 is the correct model number. According to JVC it is capable of 30,000 color variations. I love the unit so far. The lighting was just a bonus.

I'm finally ordering today. I keep wondering why everyone keeps asking which bulbs are correct for their year. I thought it was clearly stated in the thread, but looking back at it now that I'm ordering I see that it is actually overwhelming. Different years need different bulbs.
Ordering 5x 74-xHP's in blue. What bulb is the shift indicator? Do I need two more for the shift indicator, or one bulb? Same size?
3x NEOx-xH's for the HVAC controls? 4mm? Is that right?
Is my '99 the same as 2003X's TJ?

Check out that you tube video I posted to find out your gauge cluster(few pages back). Bulbs are all the 74's for that. As for hvac it's 3 4mm for the 3 knobbed and not sure how many but i think it's 5mm for the older slide version...if anyone can concur that? But as for switches they are neo 4mm.
To the other guy who asked about the cluster, the odometer is sealed as are some of the other lights..(I tried)
Good luck

From what I read, the Intrusment is the same, as long as you dont have the "slide controls" for the HVAC and have the 3 rotary knobs, its the same bulbs as mine.

Ive done the LED install on my 97 with slide controls and then tried to carry all the bulbs over when i bought my 2000 with the 3 round knobs in the HVAC.
The 97 with the sliders had all the same bulbs in the cluster (5) and HVAC (2) - #74. All together 7X #74 bulb.
The 2000 with the knobs was different. 5X #74 in the cluster and 3X some smaller bulb.
So to clarify this once and for all:
With slider controls - order 7X #74 bulbs
With round knobs - order 5X #74 bulbs + 3X whatever the smaller one is...i really cant recall
^^^ I guarantee that the above is correct ^^^
PS - i never had an auto so i am not sure what goes in auto shifter illumination (PRND21)

Deffinetely not a 194, its way too big and it cant even fit through the holes in the cluster.
Fords use 194s and i have a ton 194 LEDs from my Mustang and i tried to make them work but they are just too big.

I'm not quoting that huge post but umm, rotary knob hvac takes neo 4mm and a type 74 will not work as it need a base to be screwed in. I haven't taken the old haves apart yet but from what I remember they are 5mm. Someone posted it in the beginning of this thread. It boils down to for gauges- same bulb just how many. Type 74 and for hvac- 2 different models, ones a slider(I think neo 5mm) and ones a rotary (neo 4mm). For switches- neo 4mm. As for the shifter I can remember off hand the bulb but there is a cross reference on superbrightleds.com
Cajun,
OUT!
