Normal LEDS don't really dim. They are either on or off. I got a wild hair up my butt and installed some red LED's from superbrightleds.com and I'm quite happy. They're local (I drive by their building on the way home) so it was an easy choice. I did the gauges and the HVAC then changed the color on my JVC HD-59 to match. It looks real nice.

I used the T1.5-xHP for the gauges and NEOx-xHP (4mm) for the HVAC.

The LEDs look orange in the pic but I guarantee they are a deep dark red.

Ordered the bulbs tonight, hope this is right for my 03 TJ. $20 total from superbrightleds.com

5 - 74-xHP: Wedge Base LED Bulb-74-BHP: Blue

3 - NEOx LED Instrument bulb - NEO4-B: 4mm NEO4-x Blue - I did not get the high power ones, because I was not sure.

I ordered 5 of the cluster bulbs, but It looks like it may be 6 bulbs for that?????

No there are five for the gauges but you could have ordered a couple of spares for the future

Well as i said its really detailed and very simple.. i was bored but it will help those who never did it before..

Here it goes. ..

I ordered my LEDs from a company called V-LEDs.com, i will put an exact link to the bulbs you will need for this conversion from stock to LED and you have the choice of which color to choose. I would like to say that this company is really amazing and has really good customer service, i had a problem and without delay they fixed the problem. So order from them because they are really good and priced well (i think).

For this you will need a knife to open the new bulb packages and a phillips screwdriver, and to unscrew the top screws you can either use a stubby phillips or a 1/4 in socket on a small ratchet like i did.. and one more thing is if you have a small needle nose pliers you can use it too.. Oh and gloves if your like me and cut yourself every five seconds..

Order HERE and choose color.. (youll need only 5 but they come in pairs)

MORE BELOW….
Are the heating and ac bulbs the same as the dash ones or are they different? And can the odometer light be changed as well?

Got mine installed today and wow. They are awesome, and the dimmer still works! They came packaged nice and shipping took 2 days. These are pics in the day time, you can see how bright they are. This is what I ordered for those who are interested and I believe these are for 03 and up TJ's.
5 - 74-xHP: Wedge Base LED Bulb-74-BHP: Blue
3 - NEOx LED Instrument bulb - NEO4-B: 4mm NEO4-x Blue - I did not get the high power ones, and they match perfect.
$20 total.
The bulb in this pic is the blue led instrument panel bulb.

These are the stock bulbs, they have some sort of cover on them. The 2nd pic is the HVAC Blue bulb.

The SuperbrightLED's are very nice. But my dimmer doesn't work which is no big deal. I wonder if the dimmer only works with certain colors?
