I replaced the gauge bulbs with white l.e.d.s. and the end result is a major improvement but replacing the dome light bulbs with l.e.d.s..... not so much.

I had my first bulb start to give me problems this weekend. It's in the HVAC, and it's flickering at times and not working the other time. I got a little over a year out of it. All the other bulbs are going strong though.

Anyone replaced the lights up under the dash, the "courtesy" lights I think they are called that light up the driver's and passenger's floorboard area? Anyone know what size they are? I tried cross-referencing one with the numbers on the bulb but it doesn't come back with anything. I want to replace those because they are the only non-LED lights left in my interior.
Thanks in advance.

OEM is 906
Go here .. scroll to T13 & 921. I put the cool white ones in ... They are acceptable at night .. could be a little brighter ... Bottom line is anything with a 921 or T13 base will fit ... Look at specs .. You may find a brighter one than I did ... If you do .. Let us know!

LED Attempt
I ordered the LED lights today and they've already shipped. I'll post pics once I get them installed.

I wouldn't get those. LEDs are directional, I guarantee if you get the single diode ones you will have dead spots. For example the speedometer and tachometer are lit by one bulb placed between them, if you get the single diode LED the outer edges of the gauges won't be lit. I cheaped out and bought those, ended up buying the tri ones and putting the other ones in the HVAC controls.

For the courtesy lighhts - I went with bulb size 89 - direct link :

Also, since these LEDs come in pairs and my Jeep only had 1 courtesy lamp on the drivers side but the plug in the harness on the passenger side (???), I got another one from Ebay - Mopar part number 56017442 :

LEDs are in...
Lights are in. Took about 20 minutes total. Now, I'm going to have to get some for the HVAC lights and I should be good to go. I highly recommend the LEDs with three lights per. They worked out great. I wanted to post a pic, but for whatever reason, I can't seem to be able to....

Ok so I keep trying to read this thread but ADD is kicking in. Here's my question, can you change the seatbelt, 4x4, and all the warning lights on a 06 tj? Looking to go for something more efficient when I change my lights. But if so anyone know what bulb it takes also? I just don't feel like taking it all apart to find out till I get my LEDs in.
Thanks
Cajun

Last time I checked I think those are sealed lights. The High beam, and gauge lights are changeable...
