Well I Did The Cheap Blue Bulbs From Vleds, I Bought 10 Just In Case. 2 Did Not Work Tried Flipping Still Nothing, But Who Cares They Came In 2 Days, The Cheap 2.99 Bulbs Work Perfect Not Too Bright Not To Dim, I Lost The Dimming Feature But The Dash Looks Sweet, Im Gonna Try To Do Heater Controls This Week When I Put Radio In.

I got the green ones, only bought 6 and it looked dim in the top left corner and bottom right i couldnt see a thing. I replaced the one in the bottom right with the spare and it didn't make any difference. Either I got 3 duds or somethings wrong! The needles don't seem to light up at all either! Anyone else tried this on an 04?

my leds didn't work with about 3 or 4 but bought no extra and i'm impatient, the connectors are like christmas light bulbs where the wire is on the side, i meddled with the contacts a bit and had them flare out a bit and badda bing they all worked fine, so far its been about 4months and no issues.

You need to get some white needles. Junkyard....or somewhere.

I don't remember if I've posted here, but two of my tri-LED bulbs failed in about six months. First they flashed, then blanked out completely. The other three are still going strong though. The superbright white looks fantastic with the grey/black interior.

This is such an amazing thread. Being a newb and a non-tech clutz I would never have thought to try this myself! But, thanks to everyone here... ordered my bulbs last night.

I think I am going to try the green. That way I son't have to fiddle with anything but the gauge lights, plus the display on the radio is green also.
I was curious, I noticed a couple of you did the green....do the indicator needles show up OK ??

TJ Jerry - No, you can't hardly see them at all =/ They might show up good with red or bright white. Can anyone confirm?

I have the super white LED's...

Makes for very crisp looking dash w/o being too bright at all.

I put in amber LEDs, needles look orange now. Nice contrast to the amber numerials. I've had them in over a year with no burnouts.
