gasket maker safe to use on IAC housing?

Hey everyone I took my IAC housing off the throttle body of my 2004 jeep wrangler 4.0l to clean it. Well I used blue sensor safe rtv on It to seal it back up will this be OK to use for awhile? Thanks

Well since you already have done it!!! Why not get the correct gasket or make one?

I would say that as long as you didn't get carried away to where chunks of it can get stuck in the valve you should be OK.

Well if they made a gasket for the IAC housing I would I've looked everywhere so has other ppl on forums no luck. So yeah either make on or use rtv. The rtv holds really good makes a tight fit. I don't trust gasket paper or me making one.

Yes there is for the IAC when it goes into the housing.

I use cereal boxes. They make perfect gasket material.
