Gas spewing problem

I took my '05 into the dealer today to have them address the gas spewing problem. After diagnosis, they told me that it needs a new gas tank, so they've ordered one. Does this sound right? I don't care about the cost of it, as it's being covered by Chrysler, but I'm wondering if this will actually fix the issue. It appears from reading a few threads here, that the filler neck is the problem.

Thanks,

Steve

A new DC tank will have the same problem. This is your fix: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/05...w-fix-1335243/

Well it will work for awhile and then the problem will resurface, right?

If he swaps the tanks? Yes, it will come back. If he does the $25 hose fix? Still working for some us going on two years.

How did you get Chrsler to cover it? I didn't think they issued a recall, and I'm sure your out of warentee.

As it turns out, it's not covered. I guess I need a GM filler neck!
