future plans, input please...
well with tax time coming around, i am going to take the opertunity to spend a good chunk of the extra cash i will have. Currently my jeeps lift needs a lot of work. I bought it lifted on a 4" skyjacker lift. It has performed great for what I do but I am ready to upgrade to the next level.
My current plan was to upgrade the short arms to the rough country long arm kit, keep the sky jacker springs, mainly because they ride is decent and there is no sagging, upgrade the steering compnents to the v8 ZG components, upgrade the steering gearbox with a durango unit, replace the current POS skyjacker shocks with the bilstein 5100's ( I have has great experience with these on my trucks), add a 1.25" BL and a 1" MML, CV shaft adn SYE so i can get rid of the Transfercase lowering kit. that should take care of most my return. after that I was going to put the rest towards a brake upgrade, then this summer add poison spyder wheels and some new tires along with some other odds and ends.
but for now i want feel back on the suspension plans uncluding steering, and also keep in mind im not a hardcore off roader, just occasional trips and usually my wheels is on someone I knows property, and this jeep gets a good amount of road use also. I just want it to be more capable and a lot safer with hopefully a little better on road ride. This is on a buget as well so i can go out and blow big money on stuff, mainly because I's trying to save for a new 6.7L cummins once i graduate here shortly.

All sounds good to me except the RC control arms. I'd go with something else if your going to spend the money. Adjustable and johnny joints. JKS, Currie, or something more hardcore.

With the 6-cylinder, 35's, and the manual trans... 4.88's. If it were me, I'd do the gears first. You'll be fine with those 33's until you move up to the 35's too.

I wouldnt bother with long arms. Short arms can work very well with 35s (just get some adjustable uppers for your rear to work with the sye kit).
I'm not convinced the durango box is worthwhile at all.

I'm puttin 4.88's in mine right now. I'm running my 33's for a while till i can afford 35's the right way.
