Full doors and soft top...

So, I've been really focused on things like gears / axles and sequencing of upgrades in an effort to stabilize cash flow and effort. One thing I had not considred is the following:

My father in law wants the hard top back. He currently has a soft top on a different TJ. He's going to give us that soft top on it. Our jeep currently has full metal doors. Jeep is not here for me to look at right now. Here's my question, will the full metal doors (currently with hard top) work with soft top without additoinal parts?

Thanks.

I bought some metal half doors yesterday but we'll still be using the full doors in the winter.

All you will need is the door surrounds. Many TJ shipped that way.

Door surrounds is a hinged right angle piece of hard plastic that goes from the tub corner behind the seat, up and forwards to the windshield frame. Held in place with two knobs screws for each side.

They are not needed/used with a hardtop so he should be able to give you those with the soft top.

Make sure to get the other hardware pieces too if you don't have them. Roll bar brackets, tail gate bar brackets, etc.

Thanks! Just trying to avoid additional surprises / expense. I'm over budget right now, but not by much. I'll use whatever hardware he has on his Jeep and we should be good to go. bbudgeted an extra 15 percent or so but ran into a lot of neglected maintenance that was imperative to keep it running.

Appreciate the quick concise answer.
