The stocks aren't "Discos", they're designed to remain attached. Are you replacing them with after market disconnects?

Anyway, if the threads are messed up, either fix them with a die or clean them up with a small file.

You definately want discos. For now you can drive the jeep, but take it easy on the first few turns. It's going to feel like you're driving a block of jello.

It was a pain in the butt to get mine off. I think I ended up using a pickle fork on the underside of the sway bar. The bolt is tapered.

Autozone has free tap and die kits for rent. Im sure you could clean up the bolt good enough to get the nut back on till you get discos.

Edit: You appear to be at my "Beer Point". When I get frustrated with something, instead of forcing it, I walk away and grab a beer. Usually the break helps me think it through.

the tops of those sway bar links are pressed in. you either need to use a puller or pickle fork to pry them apart. or I seen someone on here take the entire sway bar off and laying it on the ground, bolt threads down, hitting it with a hammer to get them to pop out.

The part you are referring to is called a sway bar link. They are not disconnects. They can however be removed with a pickling fork and replaced with a set disconnects.
