Front Bumpers

There's probably umptying gazillion threads, but lack of time and 12 kbps dialup modem really tests my patience with computers in doing internet catelogue searches..

I've tried to order the SRC Rockcrawler front bumper but have become really frustrated and entirely lost patience after waiting for my order for 2 months.

So w/ that said, wanted to ask you boys what other bumpers out there have relatively the same design and features such as the 4 light tabs, 2 d-ring shackle points and good coverage of the front side of the jeep w/ a winch.

I know of the Fabtech one, but don't really fancy the size, but not sure, still considering it.

The FourReal one looked mighty interesting, but the price made its luster diminish to dim glow.

So yea, i have to jet, it'd be a lot of help, can maybe finally mount my winch to something serious aside the stockbumper...thanks in advance!

Marco

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

You could get a Jeeprman with one of their two style light hoops. Jeeperman bumpers have an integrated winch mount. Their light hoops also come with provisions mount additional lighting. There two sizes 54" and 46". I'm running the 54". Well it doesn't look like the SRC bumper it is a great bumper and with the addition of their light bars looks really sharp.

LMAO, the same thing I thought. Whats worse is the poor guy is on dial up.

Akula47 monitor this thread, if you see a guy named Oman post don't even bother opening it back up. there will be many pictures of an ugly, overpriced bumper with some really crappy welds on it. it will just kill your connection until all the pictures load.

As for your original question, I side with Marine. JEEPERMAN bumpers are nice.

I have a modified Warrior rock bumper...but a wheelin' friend of mine has the Toys by Troy you might consider checking out. They are pretty tough, and offer some better stuff than the SRC bumper you originally were going to get.

X4 on the Jeeperman front bumper. Jeep forum member Sitting Duck just got one here and its really nice. Should be good for what you are looking for.

I have an ARB front. Nice, but not what you asked about.

Yeah I have to say Jeeperman too...I have one its very stout...and has 4 light tabs, two D-ring attachment points and a winch plate all in one and is sealed. Its like a sore peter...hard to beat.

I'm real happy with my "Body Armor" brand front bumper. It's stout as hell, included two shackles (welded on both sides!), & has a lifetime warranty (IIRC).

Good price too. They have a variety of styles: with & w/o hoops, winch plates, etc. etc.

My .o2

It's a little different than many of the other suggestions, but the ARB bull bars offer a lot of coverage. This was one of the biggest factors in my decision b/c it is my DD and I figure that getting hit in one of the front corners by another vehicle would tear up more of the Jeep with a bumper that doesnt extend as far out.

They only have two light tabs, though, and they are costly (I got an insurance settlement from a drunk driver that hit my rear bumper (so i bought a new front bumper!)).
