One thing Smitty will always have with their SRC bumper is that they stole a good design from Currie. I think it is a great looking bumper.

Too bad SB didn't also replicate the quality of the Currie bumper.

When you have a choice, buy American made.

I have bought alot of stuff from Gerald and Savvy is great. Also, to paraphase Everett Dirksen, 20 pounds here, 20 pounds there, pretty soon you are talking about serious weight. So, if i had a do over that would be my choice.

I, however have BodyArmour bumpers and sliders and winch plate. 2x5x3/16 tube. It's sturdy and I like the look even if its a little heavy. I've had it for over 10 years.

They have been in a couple fender benders. Once parked in the lot and once GF driving and a dill weed was passing in the turning lane and clipped the right front bumper. He got thousands of dollars of damage to his read quarter panel. I used a brass brush from my gun cleaning gear and a can of rustoleum and fixed both incidents to back to 'new' lol.

Insurance lady asked probably three times, "what was the damage to your car?". "None" I replied. I put a bandaid on it for a day or so. funny guy.

The parking lot thing they gave me a thousand. Some rustoleum and a tire mount bracket bent for 50 bucks.

Jeep 2, other folks 0.

I've been talking to Morris 4x4 Center all morning trying to get an answer as to why the price went up $47 dollars this month but the internet search-bots still list it at $158. I've been getting a lot of sunshine blown up my rear end and now I'm getting straight ignored. Greed, plain and simple.

Love that, too Jerry but probably WAY out of my price range.

Awesome job! You gonna sell them?

Very nice but again, probably way too expensive for this guy.

OMG the Rancho bumper is $330!

I like the Smittybilt bumper because it's cheap and looks reasonably well constructed, but I'd really prefer a 44" bumper and the SB only comes in 54" length. The search continues.

It's not. This front bumper is a Smittybilt and the rear bumper the spare tire carrier broke off from is a Smittybilt too.

That's not the one I meant, I meant the one pictured here. Also that looks like a pretty good impact that one took, if I took a hit like that I'd expect a tube bumper of ANY make to break. Henceforth the reason I don't want a tube bumper.

That rear Smittybilt bumper I added to my above post is not a tube bumper.

Yes. When I typed my response it wasn't there. Seems Smittybuilt has gone Kung Pao like so many others.

I'll probably end up going with the LoD at $196, but certainly not from Morris 4x4 Center.

TheBoogieman has my eternal gratitude. Thanks to his suggestion I was able to get the LoD bumper from TheJeepHut for $159 and free shipping. HAd it not been for him, I never would have found it there. Thanks man!

It would be very tough to beat the quality, strength, and the fact it is made here in California of http://www.thedirtworx.com/_p/prd13/...t/front-bumper. I've had his rear bumper on both of my TJs, they are well built and pretty much bulletproof.

When you have a choice, buy American made.
