Im peicing together my six inch frankenlift for my 97 TJ. Already have RE 5.5 springs, RK Adj. Front track bar, JKS Quicker Disconects, and AA SYE + Tom Woods Drive Shaft. Planning on either Skyjacker Hydros or Rustys for shocks. Would like some help chosing Control Arms and Rear Adj Track bar. Also any one know of cheap extended brake lines.

I'd go long arms. That much lift will give you some pretty nasty short arm angles.

Not to mention the rear axle trying to walk under the rig

Planning on going LA next year, just looking to run it SA this year. How does the RC 6 in SA pull it off without these problems?

Is that a popular lift to buy?

For CA's get you a good set of rear upper adj.'s and cheap on the rest. You can run stock lower CA's, but get you some spares. They twist up like pretzels in the rear with that much lift and 36's.

It's gonna be pretty nasty to flex your tires in the wheel wells when they are going to be horribly off center. That's another reason for long arms. Your tires are going to be pulled into the center of the jeep. That might really hurt your flex and cause a lot of rubbing depending on how bad it is.
JKS would be a good bar for the rear. I have that one. Plenty beefy, fine tune adjustments, with flexible joints and silent operation.

rough country has always been popular because of the price. but i see without a doubt more people complain about RC over any other manufacturer. IMO, there's a reason other manufacturers don't make a short arm lift over about 5" max.

Yep, at least for the front anyway if you want to save you some money. But if you can get the RC adj cheap, then your all set. SA's will limit your flex, so a locker will help push you through the twisty sections.

I might purchase a set of RC 6in. adj. arms all the way around and run the skyjacker hydros, with RE 5.5 springs, RK front Adj track. Now I just need to pick up a read adj. track bar and extended brake lines+extended sway bar links for the rear. Then Im all set to install my d44 and 36's.

just wait. dont buy arms twice, thats silly. don't install anything, just pile it in the corner of the garage or apartment (behind the couch works) until you can afford to do it right. you've got the springs, get some clayton long arms, or TnT's customs long arms. both very good kits.
you could also buy the fab parts from BTF or AtoZ, buy yourself a 160-180amp welder and learn to make your own long arms.
